In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety. – Psalm 4:8]

Before we pray together, let’s take a moment to breathe.

Slow down your heart. Let the noise of the day fade away.
You’ve made it to this moment. And that in itself is a victory.

So many of us lie down at night and hope sleep will come quickly…
But instead, the stillness of the dark becomes a breeding ground for racing thoughts and unseen burdens.

Maybe you’ve smiled for others all day but cried in silence the moment you were alone.
Maybe your body is tired, but your mind is wide awake.
Maybe you’re wrestling with fear—about your health, your finances, your marriage, your children, or the world itself.

But here’s the truth: You were not created to carry it all alone.

Jesus says in Matthew 11:28,
"Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."

Tonight, He’s inviting you—yes, you—into that rest.

Let your pillow be more than a place to lay your head.
Let it be the altar where you lay your burdens down.

You see, nighttime has a way of bringing everything to the surface.
Things we’ve suppressed throughout the day start rising again:

• The conversation that left you unsettled…

• The diagnosis that you’re still processing…

• The bills on your kitchen counter…

• The dream you’re afraid won’t come to pass…

Fear tries to step in. It whispers, “You’re not enough.”
But God’s Word speaks louder:
“My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.” – 2 Corinthians 12:9

Let’s Reflect on These Truths:

• You don’t have to have it all figured out tonight.

• You don’t have to fight your battles alone.

• You are not defined by your anxiety or your fear.

• And most importantly, you are not alone in this room.

God is here. Right now. With you.

He never slumbers. He never sleeps. He never stops watching over you.

Psalm 121:3-4 tells us:
"He who watches over you will not slumber... the Lord watches over you… the Lord is your shade at your right hand."

Let that truth settle in.

When you feel unseen, God sees you.
When you feel unheard, God listens.
When you feel overwhelmed, God strengthens.
When you feel alone, God surrounds you.

Now let’s surrender our fears and receive His peace.

Don’t rush this moment.
Let the Spirit of God gently draw near.
Breathe in His presence. Breathe out the pressure.
Feel the weight lifting, bit by bit, as you give it to Him.

Whatever it is you’re afraid of… speak it out to God.
Whatever it is you’re hoping for… place it in His hands.
He can handle it. He’s not overwhelmed. He’s never surprised. And He loves you more than you can imagine.

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for walking with me today. Through every high and every low, You never left my side. I’m here tonight because of Your grace. And now, as the night settles around me, I come to You for rest.

Lord, You know the things that weigh heavy on my heart. The fears I don’t talk about. The questions I don’t know how to answer. The concerns that keep me awake. I bring them to You now.

Your Word says in Isaiah 26:3,
"You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You."

So I place my trust in You. Not because everything is perfect, but because You are.
You are my Refuge.
You are my Healer.
You are my Provider.
You are my Prince of Peace.

I rebuke fear in the name of Jesus. It has no place in my mind, my heart, or this home.
Instead, I receive Your Spirit of power, love, and a sound mind—just as 2 Timothy 1:7 promises.

Lord, tonight I choose to rest in You.

Not in my own understanding, but in Your everlasting arms.
Wrap me in Your peace. Calm every anxious thought. Let Your presence be the atmosphere of this room.

If I wake in the night, let me wake with praise on my lips.
If I dream, let those dreams be filled with Your promises.
If I toss and turn, remind me of this truth:
“Be still and know that I am God.” – Psalm 46:10

I give You my loved ones. Protect them as they sleep.
I give You my future. I know it’s in good hands.
I give You my now. Be Lord of this very moment.

Let Your angels stand guard over my home.
Let Your Spirit dwell richly within these walls.
And let Your Word be the last voice I hear tonight and the first voice I hear in the morning.

I rest in Your faithfulness.
I sleep in Your peace.
And I rise—when You awaken me—with new mercy for a brand-new day.

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ,
Amen.
