In an unprecedented move that has both captivated and polarized the nation, billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk, alongside an elite team dubbed the DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency), sat down for a no-holds-barred interview with Fox News’ Bret Baier. Their mission? To slash government waste, fraud, and inefficiency — and save the American taxpayer upwards of $1 trillion.
A Trillion-Dollar Goal: Trimming the Fat in Record Time
“The goal is to reduce the federal deficit by $1 trillion, from $2 trillion to $1 trillion,” said Musk. “We're aiming to cut total federal spending from $7 trillion to $6 trillion — a 15% reduction, achieved not by cutting vital services, but by eliminating fraud and bureaucratic bloat.”
The team, operating on a timeline of 130 days, has been working around the clock, Musk says, to “cut $4 billion a day in waste.” Early wins include the discovery of an absurd $830 million price tag for an online survey — something that could’ve been executed for $10,000 using SurveyMonkey.

The Power of Private-Sector Principles
What makes DOGE different is its DNA: this isn’t politics-as-usual. The team consists of tech and business titans, including former rocket scientists, software engineers, financial executives, and founders from companies like Airbnb and SpaceX.
Steve Davis, a former rocket scientist and now COO of DOGE, emphasized the revolutionary aspect: “We actually believe success is possible. We have an administration that supports real change.”
Transparency and Action in Real-Time
DOGE’s accomplishments are not hidden behind bureaucratic walls. “Everything is published transparently on DOGE.gov, soon to be in real-time,” Davis said. This includes questionable expenditures and successful cuts. “We want the American people to see what’s happening with their money.”
One striking example: a mine in Pennsylvania housing 22,000 filing cabinets and 400 million pieces of paper for the government’s outdated retirement processing system — a relic from the 1950s. That process, often taking six to nine months, will now be digitized and reduced to just a few days.
Fixing a Broken System: Social Security and Fraud Prevention
Critics on the Left have claimed Musk is trying to “destroy Social Security,” but the DOGE team insists the opposite is true. “What we’re doing will help recipients get more benefits, not less,” said one engineer, revealing that 40% of calls to the Social Security office were from fraud centers trying to reroute payments.
Another shocking statistic: 15 million people aged 120 or older were still marked as alive in the system. "We're eliminating fraudulent numbers and ensuring benefits go to real people," the team affirmed.

Massive Government Duplication and Dysfunction Exposed
DOGE has also uncovered jaw-dropping inefficiencies:
The IRS employs 1,400 people just to hand out laptops and phones.
The NIH has 27 Chief Information Officers and over 700 disconnected IT systems.
HHS reportedly has 40 communications offices — duplicative efforts draining federal funds.
“This isn’t about mass firings,” clarified DOGE personnel officer Anthony Armstrong. “Less than 0.15% have received notice. Most departures are voluntary with generous severance.”
“This Is a Revolution”
“This might be the biggest revolution in government since the original American Revolution,” said Tyler, a former oil company CEO now auditing contracts at the Interior Department. “Under the previous administration, oversight was non-existent. We’re now reviewing every contract and grant.”
Elon Musk echoed the sentiment, stating that if the federal government were a business, “it would be delisted and bankrupt. Officers would be arrested.”
He added that the effort is not just about fiscal responsibility but moral duty: “If we don’t do this, America is going to go bankrupt. That’s why we’re doing it.”
Violence, Vandalism, and False Narratives
Despite the team's intentions, Musk revealed the initiative has provoked violent backlash. Tesla dealerships have been firebombed, stores shot at, and personnel threatened. Musk places the blame squarely on far-left propaganda.
“The real problem isn’t the crazy guy who throws a Molotov cocktail — it’s the people feeding him lies,” Musk said. “That propaganda almost got the President killed.”

Patriotism, Not Politics
When asked why these highly successful individuals would put their careers on hold to do this, the answer was simple: patriotism.
“This is about saving America,” said a team member. “Unless this mission is successful, the ship of America will sink.”
The team’s final message was clear: they aren’t dismantling America’s safety nets. They’re fortifying them — by restoring trust, rooting out fraud, and transforming outdated systems.
“This is not about politics,” Musk concluded. “It’s about the survival and solvency of the United States of America.”
