Dear Friends,

Heavenly Father,
We come before You, acknowledging our need for Your mercy, grace, and power in these times of great uncertainty. Lord, we cry out for revival across this land, and we ask for Your Spirit to sweep through our homes, our churches, and our nation. Ignite in us a renewed passion for Your Word, for truth, and for righteousness. Let this be the hour when Your people rise up in boldness, proclaiming the gospel and standing firm in Your promises.
Father, we repent on behalf of our nation. We confess that we have strayed from Your ways, allowing sin and darkness to infiltrate our land. We ask for Your forgiveness and for the blood of Jesus to cleanse our hearts and heal our nation. Turn us back to You, Lord. Open the eyes of those who have been blinded by deception, and soften the hearts of those who have turned away from You. May we return to being a people who seek Your face and follow Your commandments.
We lift up those who have been affected by disasters, both natural and man-made. Lord, we pray for comfort, provision, and protection over those who are suffering. Whether it be storms, fires, earthquakes, or spiritual battles, we ask for Your peace to surround them. Be their refuge and strength, a very present help in times of trouble. We pray that Your love and healing touch would reach those who need it most.
Lord, we also bring before You President Donald Trump, JD Vance, their families, and their teams. We ask for Your divine protection, wisdom, and favor to be upon them. Guide their steps and give them discernment as they navigate these challenging times. Surround them with godly counsel and strengthen them for the battles ahead. May they seek You in every decision, and may they be used as instruments of Your will in this nation.
Finally, Lord, we pray for America. We ask that You restore the heart of this nation to be one that honors You. We pray for unity, justice, and peace to prevail, and for Your kingdom to come and Your will to be done. We ask that the forces of evil be thwarted and that Your light shines brightly in the darkness. Let Your Church be salt and light, a beacon of hope in a world that desperately needs You.
We commit all these things into Your hands, trusting in Your perfect plan and timing. Revive us, O Lord. Heal our land. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray.

Presidential Reflections: A Call to Prayer and Repentance
Each day, we draw inspiration from historical figures who called the nation to prayer and repentance during times of great challenge. In today's reflection, we turn to President Chester A. Arthur, who, on October 25, 1882, issued a Proclamation for Thanksgiving Day, designating November 30, 1882, as a day of national thanksgiving and prayer. In his proclamation, President Arthur urged the people to gather in worship and offer gratitude to Almighty God for the many blessings bestowed upon the nation.
Arthur expressed gratitude for the peace and prosperity of the country, and called upon the nation to:
...draw near to the throne of Almighty God, offering to Him praise and gratitude for the manifold goodness which He has vouchsafed to us, and praying that His blessings and His mercies may continue.
This call to prayer and thanksgiving reminds us of the importance of acknowledging God's grace and seeking His continued favor in the face of national challenges.
As we reflect on President Arthur’s proclamation, let us be mindful of the many blessings we have received and, with grateful hearts, seek God’s guidance and mercy for the future.

A Proclamation
In conformity with a custom the annual observance of which is justly held in honor by this people, I, Chester A. Arthur, President of the United States, do hereby set apart Thursday, the 30th day of November next, as a day of public thanksgiving.
The blessings demanding our gratitude are numerous and varied. For the peace and amity which subsist between this Republic and all the nations of the world; for the freedom from internal discord and violence; for the increasing friendship between the different sections of the land; for liberty, justice, and constitutional government; for the devotion of the people to our free institutions and their cheerful obedience to mild laws; for the constantly increasing strength of the Republic while extending its privileges to fellow-men who come to us; for the improved means of internal communication and the increased facilities of intercourse with other nations; for the general prevailing health of the year; for the prosperity of all our industries, the liberal return for the mechanic's toil affording a market for the abundant harvests of the husbandman; for the preservation of the national faith and credit; for wise and generous provision to effect the intellectual and moral education of our youth; for the influence upon the conscience of a restraining and transforming religion, and for the joys of home--for these and for many other blessings we should give thanks.
Wherefore I do recommend that the day above designated be observed throughout the country as a day of national thanksgiving and prayer, and that the people, ceasing from their daily labors and meeting in accordance with their several forms of worship, draw near to the throne of Almighty God, offering to Him praise and gratitude for the manifold goodness which He has vouchsafed to us and praying that His blessings and His mercies may continue.
And I do further recommend that the day thus appointed be made a special occasion for deeds of kindness and charity to the suffering and the needy, so that all who dwell within the land may rejoice and be glad in this season of national thanksgiving.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the United States to be affixed.
Done at the city of Washington, this 25th day of October, A.D. 1882, and of the Independence of the United States the one hundred and seventh.
